TIME: 11:00AM-1:00PM EST
TOPIC: Workmanship
FORMAT: GoTo Webinar (link to join webinar will be coming from Daniel Walker customercare@gotowebinar.com)
INSTRUCTOR: Laurence Claus
DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever come across a fastener at the local hardware store that looked so poor it caused you to doubt the quality of other fasteners in the bin? Have you ever wondered why aerospace manufacturers take so many precautions to supply a product that is free of imperfections? During this live webinar the importance of workmanship will be explored.
Workmanship is the level of craftsmanship expected by the customer. Although workmanship is often perceived as how “good” a fastener looks, it plays a much more important role in how the fastener functions and performs in its intended application. During this webinar, we will examine common cold-heading and fastener imperfections and surface discontinuities beginning with those stemming from the raw material and progressing through the common fastener manufacturing processes of heading and rolling.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPANT:
This webinar is well suited for fastener employees with responsibilities in quality, engineering, inside and outside sales, manufacturing management, purchasing or materials management. It is also a good fit for anyone wanting to better understand fastener manufacturing.
