In recent years, lightweighting has become an important design initiative for many products. The primary driver of this initiative is that lighter weight, more compact products provide some manner of benefit, such as lightening an airplane to make it easier to take off or an automobile to improve gas mileage. But how can small fasteners play a role in this process? 

This webinar will explore that question and look at three different strategies on how fasteners can and do play a vital role in lightweighting efforts. In this webinar we will discuss and look at examples of direct lightweighting, lightweighting through improved fastener performance, and fasteners as enablers. This webinar should be especially relevant to application engineers and those companies that support the automotive and aerospace fastener markets.
