IFI is sponsoring an informational presentation about the new Fastener Apprenticeship Program on February 12, 2026 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at GolfZon Social in Oak Brook, IL. Anyone interested in learning more about how their company can get started with a registered apprenticeship program for machine operators should consider attending this informative and fun event.
We’re partnering on this event with the Midwest Fastener Association (MWFA) and the National Associate of Surface Finishers (NASF) Chicago Midwest Chapter on the evening program to provide cocktails, appetizers, and use of the golf simulators at Golf Zone Social. Our featured speaker is Carol Howerton, Director of Workforce Development at the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center. Carol worked directly with IFI's Apprenticeship Committee to develop the fastener apprenticeship program to ensure it serves the needs of fastener manufacturers to support their essential training needs.
