DAY TWO February 17, 2026: Standards 101 - Aerospace Version

DESCRIPTION:

This seminar was developed to educate and familiarize member’s employees on Fastener Standards used by the Aerospace Fastener Segment. It will explore how standards are developed and amended. It will look at the different standard types and organizations that generate them, and how they differ and resemble one another. It will include some practical application to get participants more comfortable with being able to identify and use different industry standards. In particular, will look at the NAS and AMS family of standards. It will look how the Procurement Standard is used in conjunction with the Product Standard.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

This course is designed for the individual that uses fastener standards. It is likely to be more helpful to those that are new to the industry or seldom use standards but will also serve as a refresher to someone with many years of experience. Fastener standards are ever evolving, so regardless of where one is at in their career, there are new things to be learned.

TIMELINE:

830AM - Light Breakfast - freshen baked assortment of donuts, cheese danishes, and chocolate croissants with brewed Starbucks coffee.

9:00AM - Training Starts - CLICK HERE for the classroom materials

11:30AM - Lunch - Mixed green garden salad with choice of dressing, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, sliced fresh seasonal fruit, assorted deli meats such as smoked ham, turkey, and roast beef and a selection of fresh breads and cheeses. Sliced tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles and condiments on the side.
