Description:
Fastener Fatigue is of special concern for aerospace fasteners. For this reason, aerospace fastener manufacturers take great extraordinary measures to make sure that part workmanship is at its best. This one-day training will explore what workmanship is relative to cold-headed fasteners, some of the common manufacturing defects, and the actions and countermeasures employed by the industry to reduce or eliminate them. This training will look at each of the major processing steps from the contribution of the raw material, cold-heading, thread rolling, and material handling. Participants will gain a better understanding of the more common manufacturing defects and potential strategies for eliminating them. This is an excellent topic for anyone on the quality team, engineers, manufacturing leads, sales, or anyone wanting to know more about why part workmanship is so important to aerospace fasteners.
