INSTRUCTOR: Laurence Clause
COURSE DETAILS:
Whether brand new to the industry or a seasoned veteran, have you ever wanted to know more about how threaded fasteners are made? Although there are different methods that can be employed, the most common way of forming the fastener is by cold heading. This webinar will introduce participants to a high level overview of what cold heading is, what its advantages are, what is actually happening in a cold heading machine, the different types and descriptions of machines that are used, and the tooling necessary to make it all happen. When participants have completed this webinar, they may not be ready to design the tooling necessary to make a part on a cold header, but they will understand what types of parts are excellent candidates for cold heading and how a part will go from a blank piece of raw material to a nearly finished fastener.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Anyone new to the industry, individuals that support or purchase product from fastener manufacturers, Inside and Outside Sales, Quality, Engineering, or anyone just trying to learn more about our industry.
