In this webinar we will cover the basics of metric threads; terminology, how to read thread designations, thread fit, and general concepts in inspecting and gaging metric threads. Participants should emerge with a better understanding of what the terms used to describe thread characteristics refer to, the differences and how to distinguish between standard, fine, and extra fine thread pitches, how to read or generate an accurate thread description (designation), what is the Pitch Diameter and why is it important, what the “alphabet soup” of letters and numbers related to thread fit means, the difference between right and left handed threads, and what System 21 and System 22 mean related to inspecting threads.
